Guardian Home Program
What is a Guardian Home?
At Northern Charm Farm we want all of our dogs to have loving, nurturing homes that fit each individual dog’s needs. Because of this we have decided to offer a Guardian Home Program. A Guardian Home is a permanent home for one of our breeding males or females.

Becoming a Guardian Home gives you the opportunity to have one of our loved dogs as a family pet. Rather than buying this puppy/and or dog you will be putting down a $100 good faith deposit. Breeding careers are expected to be 3-4 litters or up to the age of 5 for females & up to the age of 5 for males. Northern Charm Farm is responsible for spaying/neutering at the successful completion of a breeding career.
Northern Charm Farm will retain ALL breeding rights. We reserve the right to cancel our guardianship program at anytime if we deem necessary. If you are the guardian family for a female you are welcome to schedule a visit while she is with us to raise her litter (at a time that is convenient for both parties). Guardians of female dogs will be given $300 per litter (as long as litters consist of 4 or more puppies, and once all puppies find their forever homes). Guardians of male dogs will receive $150 per sired litter.

If vacationing or an emergency situation arises where the guardian is unable to find appropriate boarding/pet sitting services, the breeder will offer boarding services (if breeder is available for the determined dates) for a small fee of $15 a day.

At Northern Charm Farm we believe all of our dogs should be good citizens. In order to ensure our guardians have the right training tools, Northern Charm Farm offers reimbursement for completed puppy obedience class and canine good citizen certification.

As a Guardian Home you will be required to pay for the everyday expenses of owning a dog including annual exams, vaccines, food, etc. We will pay for all breeding related costs including health testing.
